Specifically, we collect only your email address when you create a voting session using your social account. This may be a LinkedIn, Google, Twitter, or Facebook account.

Please note that we do not collect or have access to your password or any other sensitive information related to your social accounts. Our system only retrieves your email address from these platforms with your explicit consent, in order to facilitate the voting process. We also do not collect any additional personally identifiable information about you such as your name, age, gender, or location, unless otherwise specifically stated and consented to by you

Apart from your email address, the only other information we collect is related to your use of our services, including your voting choices. This information is collected to ensure the integrity of the voting process, and to offer a reliable, fair and secure voting experience. It is also used for improving our platform based on user behavior and preferences.

Remember, the collection of your email address and voting choices only persists for a duration of seven days following your voting session. After this period, in line with our commitment to your privacy and data security, all your personal data is completely deleted from our systems. We do not archive, backup, or retain your personal data in any form after this point.

This means that all your personal data - including your email address and any information about your voting choices - is completely removed from our systems. Please note that this absolute data deletion policy distinguishes AfricaVotes as a platform that is deeply committed to user privacy and data security. We understand that personal data is a sensitive matter and we are committed to handling it with the utmost care.

However, keep in mind that this seven-day retention period and subsequent data deletion only applies to your personal data. Anonymized or aggregated data, which cannot be used to identify you, may be retained for a longer period. This data is used strictly for analytical, research, and development purposes to improve our services and does not infrive on your privacy.

If you wish to request the deletion of your personal data manually, you can do so by sending an email to votesafrica@gmail.com. In your email, please include specific details of what data you want us to remove. Once we receive your request, we will confirm receipt and begin processing your request. Please note that we may need to verify your identity before processing your request and the process of deleting your data may take up to one week.

We use such technical information for internal purposes, for example, to study and improve the response times of our AfricaVotes services, understand how certain features of our AfricaVotes services are used, identify the geographic region our visitors are contacting us from, and determine how many people visit our AfricaVotes services at any given time. When using AfricaVotes services or when using certain third-party social networking services (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Google +) (each a "Social Network"), you may have the option to connect your AfricaVotes services information and activity with your Social Network information and activity. If you authorize such a connection, you permit us to share or publish information about your AfricaVotes services activity with that Social Network and its users, and to access certain of your Social Network information, as disclosed to you at the time you consent to their terms of use

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Company Services may contain links to third-party websites, services or other resources on the Internet, and other third-party resources that may be of interest to you. When you access third-party websites, services or other resources, you do so at your own risk. These other websites, services, and resources are not under our control and are not subject to this Privacy Policy. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Company does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 16 or knowingly allow such persons to register for the Company Services.
